Lighthouse Inn

Stayed here a few days while getting emergency work on our place after a bad snowstorm had made a mess. The room was big, well kept, the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large. It had a nice walk in shower. The room provided a mini fridge and microwave. We brought our own coffee pot from home. My only complaint was no coffee pot in the room. Hahaha otherwise it was beautiful.

For the price, it is nice. Good amenities and friendly service.

My family and I loved it. Very nice owners very friendly. Short drive to sunset bay beach. Free WiFi.

Room was nice and clean and comfortable. It give five stars if the shower was bigger and had better curtains. (curtains don't block all sight).

Owner is friendly. Motel is out dated, but clean. Walls are thin and if another guest is talking loud you hear them clearly. TRAIN didn't go all night, but reminded us of the scene in the movie, My Cousin Vinny. Bed was really comfortable. If you're looking for a reasonable price, that's way cheaper than everything else around, this is the place to stay.

The Inn is a great place to stay. People there are friendly and helpful.

Clean, comfortable room. Management is extremely helpful, and courteous. Large bright bathroom. Cable TV, mini refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot in room. Not the Hilton, but still very pleased.

Great little mom and pop easy access to I90 beds need up grade but will go back.

Driving cross-country, we hit the Buffalo area on a Saturday night in July and there were no hotel rooms to be had anywhere. At 11:45 PM, our 4 year old long asleep in the back of the car, we called the Lighthouse Inn and they had one room left, small, with one king size bed, the proprietor warned me in a heavy Italian accent. We took it. While all the other chain hotels in the area were posting base web rates of $170-$230 a night for rooms that usually cost $49.99 (and they were all sold out anyway), for 90 bucks plus tax we stayed in a very clean, lovingly cared for room right above the office, festooned with lighthouses of every ilk, vases of silk flowers, and hand-painted with a nautical flag across one wall. The proprietor, a lovely man who came to the U.S from Naples 30 years ago, was gracious and kind, and said if he was awake when we left in the morning he'd make us an espresso. Not only were we greeted the next morning with tiny ceramic cups of sweet, delicious espresso, but the lady of the house - the Italian's American wife - sent us on our way with a plate of homemade biscotti and delicious, buttery nut cookies. The proprietor turned out to be a soccer coach, and gave our son a soccer ball as we were leaving. I almost can't express how touched and moved we were by the whole experience. What started out as a long-drive nightmare turned into an experience we will long remember. If you're driving through western NY, ditch the franchises and stay at this quirky little gem run by people whose kindness and generosity might make you feel a little bit better about the world we live in.

Lost and alone on some forgotten highway...that is what it felt like as I was driving home to Maine from the Midwest. It was dark, I was tired of the interstate and found this little gem waiting to give me rest. The owner was so accommodating, welcoming- it wasn't long before I had a cozy little room with a recliner- a comfy overstuffed thing that just made me say ahhhh before I drifted off to sleep. I just want to add that it felt safe and secure- I would not hesitate to recommend to weary travelers, or those who face physical challenges, my needs were terrifically met, Ease of parking, ease of maneuvering with disability, so appreciated. - Marked on my maps as a favorite, stay again and again on that lovely drive through Chautauqua County.
